RimitaDeo Sensitive is a fragrance-free deodorant by Rimita Green from Pietarsaari, Finland, made for people who are sensitive to scents or have sensitive skin. It contains no fragrance, aluminium, baking soda or alcohol. Odour is prevented by zinc ricinoleate together with organic plant extracts. The deodorant is NATRUE-certified, vegan and unisex.
What is the difference between RimitaDeo Sensitive and Original?
The difference is the scent. Sensitive leaves out the fragrance of RimitaDeo Original and its natural fragrance components: linalool, limonene, citral and coumarin. The odour-preventing ingredient and the caring plant extracts are the same in both. RimitaDeo Original was chosen as the best organic deodorant in the Nordics (Nordic Natural Beauty Awards 2023).
How does a fragrance-free deodorant work without aluminium?
Antiperspirants contain aluminium salts that block the sweat glands and reduce sweating. An aluminium-free deodorant does not stop sweating, it prevents odour. In RimitaDeo Sensitive, zinc ricinoleate binds odour. Because there is no fragrance, it does not mask odour with a scent, it prevents it. Is RimitaDeo Sensitive completely unscented?
No fragrance has been added, and it does not contain Original’s fragrance components linalool, limonene, citral or coumarin.
Does a fragrance-free deodorant reduce sweating?
No. An aluminium-free deodorant does not stop sweating; it prevents the odour of sweat. If you want to reduce the amount you sweat, you need an antiperspirant.
Does Sensitive work as well as Original?
Yes. The odour-preventing ingredient is the same in both; the only difference is the scent. Blogger Noora Shingler (Kemikaalicocktail) tested Sensitive for weeks and said it holds up even during hard exercise.
How do I use the deodorant?
Apply to the armpits daily after washing and let it dry before getting dressed. Instructions are also in the Use tab.

No. The deodorant dries quickly and does not leave marks on clothes.

Apply the roll-on deodorant to clean armpits after washing, once a day or more often if needed. Let it dry briefly before getting dressed. A small amount is enough.
Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, for example right after shaving or hair removal.
If you are switching from an antiperspirant to an aluminium-free deodorant, you may feel that you sweat more at first, because your sweat glands are no longer blocked. The deodorant does not reduce sweating; it prevents the odour of sweat.

Meets all expectations. Well suited for sensitive armpits without irritating the skin at all. Keeps unwanted smells away for up to 24 hours. What’s great is that the application method is roll-on – and hands off! There are one or two natural cosmetic deodorants I’ve noticed which are also suitable for people with nut and almond allergies. I’m going to keep using this product and buy it for other family members. Then I’m going to test the fragrant version. The hope is there’ll be a variety of scents to distinguish whose is whose in our house! 🙂

Täytti kaikki ennakko-odotukset. Sopii hyvin herkille kainaloille eikä ärsytä ihoa ollenkaan. Pitää ei-toivotut tuoksut poissa yhden päivän. Plussaa että levitystapana on roll-on eikä tarvitse sotkea käsiään levittäessä. Harvoja löytämiäni luonnonkosmetiikkadödöjä, jotka sopivat myös pähkinä- ja manteliallergikoille. Aion käyttää tätä jatkossakin ja ostaa myös muille perheenjäsenille. Seuraavaksi aion testata tuoksullisen version. Toiveena olisi muutama erilainen tuoksu, jotta perheenjäsenten purkit erottaisi toisistaan. 🙂
