General terms and conditions of delivery and payment

Payment methods

The service, which is part of the OP Bank Group, acts as a paying agent. Payment options include online banking payments or credit cards.


Bank payments

You have payment icons for all Finnish banks at your disposal. You can pay with Aktia, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Savings Bank, OP, POP Bank, Savings Bank, S-pankki and Ålandsbanken. Your bank statement will show Checkout Finland Oy as the payee, and we forward your payment to the online merchant. The online store will direct you to your own bank’s website where you can process the payment securely.

Checkout Finland also offers the possibility to pay with a credit transfer form.


Credit card payments

In the online shop, you can pay with Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Debit MasterCard. International Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode authentication services can also be used in the online shop.

The payee on your card’s invoice is Checkout, who will forward the customer’s card payment directly to the merchant. Card payments are made securely with a secure payment form and payment card information is not stored in e-commerce systems.


Order and payment confirmation

After a successful order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email. You must provide an email address when ordering to be able to receive confirmation messages.


Delivery method and costs

We deliver orders as postal packages. Delivery costs are €6.90 within Finland and €9.90 for orders outside of Finland. The Åland Islands are counted as outside of Finland.

For orders over €50 the delivery is free of charge.


Delivery time

Our most common delivery times in Finland are 2–7 days, depending on the order and delivery method. More specific times are given in connection with the product options. We are not responsible for delays caused by force majeure or the indirect drawbacks caused by delays. Any changes to delivery times will be announced on the home page of the online shop.


Pricing errors

We reserve the right to cancel the order in case of obvious price errors. A clear error in price means a pricing error in a product in the online store where the price of the product deviates significantly and clearly from the actual price of the product or the price information is exceptionally low in relation to the general price level.


Exchange and return policy

Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to exchange or return all or part of your order within 14 days of receiving the order. The right of return only applies to unused and marketable products in their original packaging.

When returning a delivered order, include your name and contact information and account number for a refund.

Lost or damaged product

If the product is lost or damaged during transport or does not otherwise correspond to your order, you must notify the parties mentioned in the exchange and return policy within 14 days. If the package is damaged in the mail, a complaint must be filed with the post office immediately.
